Jicho never thought he's be happy hearing Kagome tell Inuyasha to sit, infact Jicho had intuppted her over a dozen times just so Inuyasha could get away from her. So the fact he didn't do or say anythhing ment he really thought that Inuyasha deserved it. He began to walk up the path talking with his friendsand with Rain as well. He would like to know what was driving her pain but he also wanted to give her space, maybe if he ever really got a chance anole with her father he could learn more.
"I aplogize for my friends actions, you've done nothing to make us suspect that you our out to hrm Jicho so until then we shall not treat you as such." Miroku said and then went to Sango's side. Jicho looked at Kilala and bettered her. "Hey girl, you think you can give Rain another chance? I mean if Inuyasha kepting going after everyone he fought he and Songo would still be enemies as well." he said scratching the demon cat behinde the ears. "So can you let one battle slid for me?" he said. He was pretty good friends with Kilala and hoped she'd let the wound slide this one time for him.

Kiara didn't seem willing to do that, she growled at Jicho as if saying she would do such a thing. Rain didn't blame them for not trusting her and not understanding her reasons for being a human killer her whole life, it all tied into her past but they would never know that. Being a loner paid off when some strangers wanted to now how she became the person she was today.
She remained silent, then summoned her katana after grabbing of one her daggers from her belt and sliced a demon half from the side after it jumped out at her from her right. Another one leapt out at her but ran at it and stabbed it in the stomach.

Jicho got ready as well he made his arm into a sword and sliced at the next few demons to leap out at them.

As quick as the demon attack started it ended, Rain steathed her dagger after transforming it back then walked over to the group confirming that the demon attack shown at how fearful these demon were of something and them now. She said, "The demons might be fearful of us now, or it might just have something to do with the monk."

Jicho nodded and looked at Inuyasha. The dog demon was fine, it just looked like he had a stomich ache or something aloght the lines of it. "The monk must be using so much of his pressure to keep the demon's a bay." Miroku said Jicho walked over to Rain's side not knowing if she was feeling the effects or not but if she was he'd help her anyway he could. Kagome smiled to her self. She may not completly trust Rain, but she knew Rain was never going to hurt Jicho.

As they neared the temple, the effects of the monks sipirtual pressure was starting to take hold of her just like Inuyasha. Rain seemed about ready to puke up her breakfast this morning, Kagome and the others gave her and Inuyasha concerned looks since they both seemed about ready to puke. She told them she was fine when they asked her if she was okay.
Once they reached the monk's temple, he was exhausted from fighting and holding off all those demons that surrounded his temple before their arrival. The old man looked up to see Inuyasha and the others but soon noticed Rain. He welcomed them then turned to her and said, readying himself to attack, "It's a surprise to see someone like you traveling with a group, but you're methods of trying to sneak up on me is very weak..."
"I'm not here to kill you, monk..." She said to him. "So you put down your weapons." The monk narrowed his eyes at her then decided to drop the subject and went back to the group as a whole.

Jicho nodded. "Yes i's a long story, but she's not an assassin anymore." he said. When the monk dropped it Jicho was pleased he looked at the monks staff. "That staff, there's somthing about it." he said. The monk scoffed. "This," he said holding it. "This is why the demons fear me. Long ago my mentor sealed away the demon that lies in your sword." he said. Jicho looked surprised "Yoy know abour the sword?" he asked morphing his arm. The monk nodded. "Yes please take a seat and I shall tell you all that I know" he said
As the group sat down the monk began his tale. "Long ago, amost over a hundred years now, There was a dark demon laord that rieghed over this region. He killed thousands in his attempt to rule for all time, When he was young my master, a monk with powers far beyond that of mine, did battle with the demon, and the demon Akui was sealed into his own sword. Years my master spen trying to exersie the demon, but every time he tried the demon nearly escaped his captivity. One day, as fate would have it, the sword was stolen. It was only a matter of time before the poor bandit that took it lost his mind to the demon and came to try and kill my master."
"For years anyone who had the sword would come for my masters life, finaly the sword was sealed, but Yarachi, the monk who was my master knew one day it would return to plauge the world. In a great act of Sacrifice, my master had himself sealed into this rod so that when that day came he could fight with Akui again this time both of them would be weapons." he said. "I'm surprised, I thought you would be hostle young one and seek to kill me but you seem to be unaffected by the sword." he said.
Jicho looked at his arm and said. "I'm.... I'm not from this time." he said the monk looked on curiously. "I'm from 500 years into the futrue, the sword flung me back into this time. I think.... I think after all that time Akui... went completly mad, he only appers to me a sick twisted version of myself. I dought he knows or even cares about who he is as long as he can still torment me." he said

The monk said, " You're right about Akui going mad, but how did you exactly obtain the sword in the first place?" Rain just listened to the monk along with the others in a solemon silence all she thought was, "This sword is truly sick minded...how can Jicho put up with it?"

Jicho sighed and then shook his head. "I couldn't tell you how it came to be in my families pawn shop. There are sevrile ways, the seal my have been undone or someone may have found where it was hidden. Once it was found they most likly figured they could sell it for a good price." he said

They talked about the sword a few minutes longer, mostly about the time how it was found and when they brought it in. She was the quietest out of the group there due to the fact that she decided no to take part in it, the only other people to notice her silence were Sango and Miroku. Though she did answer some of the monks questions about her awareness of the sword inside Jicho and voiced her opnion once, she was the most silent person there. Inuyasha found it to be eeriely creepy.

icho noticed his lovers quietness as well. He knew there wasn't much for her to say on this matter byt he didn't want her to be left out in any way. Knowing her though she'd just tell him that she was used to it or tht she didn't care, still he never wanted her to be an outsider around him. Te last thing he wanted was to make Rain feel like he could be better off without him, it simply wasn't true. He needed Rain in his life more than he needed any one else.

Night finally came and marked an end to day, Rain sat with Inuyasha and the others as they ate with the monk after he served them some stew. The only question the group had was how long she'd been an assissan, so Kagome asked her since no one else would, "How have you been an assissan?"
"Why would want to know that?"
"Because most assissans never really leave that kind of carrer that easily."
"Thrity- eight years, I became one when I was seventeen." She said. The monk looked at her interested in her reason why then said, "I suppose this has something to do with the human race, what did they exactly do to you?"
"They made my life as a child a living hell..." She responded.

Jicho listend to his lover and friends talk and then heard her reason for hating the humans, he knew... some how he knew somthing they had done to hwr. He didn't rind her mind or anything like that. He just somehow knew humans were capable of doing it. "They.... killed you family.... didn't they." he said Right now he wished he was a yokai or a hanyo anything but a human, any thing exaept that whiched caused his lover so much pain.

Rain felt horrible for making Jicho wish he was something other than human, him being human was the thing made him more like himself. She nodded, "Yes, but the humans who caused me to be like this did. Pretty stupid reason actually..they hated the fact that my parents had me and looked down on any human whom had an half-demon child."
The Monk said to her, "It's a shame that people are prejudice aganist demons whom are being no trouble but I doubt if they would kill the demon and their life partner just because they have a half demon child. Are you sure?"
"Yep. The name of the village which hates this is called the Village of Moon Lilies." She said.

Jicho smiled very softly and held on to her hand. "Well I never want to have to go there." he said and kissed her softly on the lps. "I'll never care what form your in your Rain, the woman I love with all my heart." he said. Jicho despised the one's who did this it seemed like humans were capable of more evil that demons were.
Rain was very very spiecal to Jicho, he had given up hope of happiness along time ago until he found her and gained a real reason to fight against the sword which possessed him. The monk smiled looking at Rain and Jicho. "But I am happy that some humans like the half demon's just the way they are." the monk said
